Veo 3.1 Fast vs Kling 3.0

These two never price the same render: Veo 3.1 Fast sells clips of 4s, 6s and 8s and Kling 3.0 sells 5s, 10s and 15s, so there is no like-for-like row to put them on and any straight price comparison would be comparing different products. They do both price 720p and 1080p, though, and a second of 720p is a second of 720p whichever model made it, so the comparison that does hold is credits per second at the same resolution: 720p is 30 credits a second on Veo 3.1 Fast against 41.5 on Kling 3.0; 1080p is 30 credits a second on Veo 3.1 Fast against 52 on Kling 3.0. What they do share is resolution: both price 720p and 1080p. Per second of finished video that works out at 30 against 41.5 credits at 720p and 30 against 52 credits at 1080p. Multiply by the length you actually need and you have the real comparison.

Veo 3.1 Fast caps at 8s and prices 4s, 6s and 8s. Kling 3.0 caps at 15s and prices 5s, 10s and 15s. Both are per-render limits, so a longer ad is several renders cut together rather than one long generation.

Veo 3.1 Fast is priced at 720p and 1080p, all at the same credit cost for a given length. Kling 3.0 is priced at 720p, 1080p and 4K. Those are the tiers you can actually buy, not the tiers the vendors advertise.

Kling 3.0 carries up to 7 reference images into one render and Veo 3.1 Fast carries one. That matters when a shot has to combine things you already have, a product, a hand, a background, in the same frame: with one image the rest has to be described in the prompt and re-rolled until it lands. The counts are read from the request each model is actually sent, not from a vendor spec sheet.

Both do. Neither Veo 3.1 Fast nor Kling 3.0 will render from a text prompt alone, so you need a product shot or an avatar frame first.

The same way. Veo 3.1 Fast generates its audio in the same pass as the picture, so there is no separate voice step to run or pay for, and Kling 3.0 works identically. Neither one needs a voice model bolted on afterwards.
