Kling 2.6: what it does, what it costs

The previous Kling generation, kept for short motion clips at a lower credit cost than 3.0.

Kling 2.6 is one of the models you can run inside UGC Vids AI. It is made by Kuaishou, renders clips up to 10 seconds, and we price it at 720p and 1080p. A render costs 125 to 260 credits depending on the length and resolution you pick, all from the same credit balance as every other model in the catalogue. Everything on this page is generated from the pricing table the app charges against.

Every length and resolution combination we price for Kling 2.6. Credits per second is included so you can compare this model against one whose clip lengths do not line up with it.

The two resolution rows for Kling 2.6 cost the same credits at every clip length because the request we send this model carries no resolution setting at all. The tier is a label on our side, so there is nothing to gain or lose by choosing one over the other.

Credits come from your monthly plan balance and are shared across every model. Starter is $49 a month with 5,000 credits, Growth is $99 with 12,000, and Agency is $199 with 25,000. See the pricing page for annual rates and what happens when a balance runs low.

What Kling 2.6 is

Kling 2.6 is Kuaishou's earlier model, taking a start frame plus a prompt. It runs shorter clips than Kling 3.0, at 5s and 10s, and costs fewer credits for the same length. Its two priced tiers, 720p and 1080p, cost the same as each other and the model receives no resolution setting at all, so the tier you pick changes neither the price nor the render. We keep it in the catalogue because a short motion clip does not always need the newer model.

Where Kling 2.6 fits, and where it does not

Good for

  • Short motion clips at 5s and 10s
  • Work driven by a single start frame, since that is what this model takes
  • A cheaper Kling render when 3.0's longer ceiling and 4K tier are not needed

Limits

  • Requires a start image, so there is no prompt-only path
  • Caps at 10 seconds, shorter than Kling 3.0's 15
  • No 4K tier is priced for it, and because the model receives no resolution setting there is no tier to trade up to either

Choose Kling 2.6 for a short clip where the newer model's extra length and 4K tier would go unused.

How Kling 2.6 compares

How to use Kling 2.6 here

  1. Start an account. The first 3 days are free. Kling 2.6 runs during them, inside the per render credit ceiling described below. One credit balance covers every model you can run, so signing up does not tie you to one.
  2. Open the create page and pick Kling 2.6 from the model list.
  3. Add your reference image, the still this model works from, then write the prompt or script. Your text reaches the model as you wrote it.
  4. Choose the clip length. Both resolution rows reach this model as the same request and cost the same credits, so the tier is a label rather than a setting. The credit cost is shown before you generate, so nothing is charged that you have not seen first.
  5. Generate, then download the mp4. Renders land in your library and stay there.
