Seedance 2.0: what it does, what it costs
ByteDance's flagship: a real 4K tier, and the only model we dispatch to the vendor's own BytePlus endpoint.
Seedance 2.0 is one of the models you can run inside UGC Vids AI. It is made by ByteDance, renders clips up to 15 seconds, and we price it at 720p, 1080p and 4K. A render costs 140 to 1,985 credits depending on the length and resolution you pick, all from the same credit balance as every other model in the catalogue. Everything on this page is generated from the pricing table the app charges against.

What Seedance 2.0 is
Seedance 2.0 is ByteDance's flagship video model. We run it through ByteDance's own BytePlus endpoint rather than the Replicate copy, so its cost follows BytePlus token rates rather than a flat per-second charge. It accepts up to 9 reference images, generates audio with the picture, and carries a priced 4K tier.
Where Seedance 2.0 fits, and where it does not
Good for
- Finals that need 4K rather than a feed-resolution master
- Product and character consistency across several reference images at once
- Clips up to 15 seconds with audio included
Limits
- The 4K tier is the single most expensive render we price, so it suits finals rather than tests
- Requires at least one reference image
- Caps at 15 seconds in one call
Choose Seedance 2.0 when the deliverable is a 4K master built from multiple reference images, and test the idea on a cheaper tier first.
How Seedance 2.0 compares
Each comparison puts both credit tables on one page, so you can see which model is cheaper for the exact render you have in mind rather than in the abstract.

How to use Seedance 2.0 here
- Start an account. The first 3 days are free. Seedance 2.0 itself runs on any paid plan rather than on the trial. One credit balance covers every model you can run, so signing up does not tie you to one.
- Open the create page and pick Seedance 2.0 from the model list.
- Add your reference image, the still this model works from, then write the prompt or script. Your text reaches the model as you wrote it.
- Choose the clip length and the resolution. The credit cost is shown before you generate, so nothing is charged that you have not seen first.
- Generate, then download the mp4. Renders land in your library and stay there.
Seedance 2.0 generates its audio in the same pass as the picture, so there is no separate voice step to run or pay for.
Seedance 2.0 on the free 3-day trial
Seedance 2.0 is not available during the free 3-day trial. It runs on any paid plan, and the trial covers the rest of the catalogue in the meantime.
What a trial can run: Grok Video, Happy Horse 1.1, Kling 2.6, Pruna Avatar, Seedance 1.5 and Veo 3.1 Fast. Their pages carry the same spec and credit tables, so you can test the workflow end to end for free and switch to Seedance 2.0 on a paid plan without changing anything else. See the full model index.
Seedance 2.0: frequently asked questions
How much does Seedance 2.0 cost per render?
Between 140 and 1,985 credits. It is priced across 720p, 1080p and 4K at 5s, 10s and 15s, and that spread is the widest of any model we run. The full table is on this page.
Why is Seedance 2.0's 4K tier not four times the 1080p price?
Because BytePlus bills it by tokens, not by pixels, and the token rate is lower at 4K than at 1080p. The two effects partly cancel, so 4K costs more than 1080p but far less than the pixel count would suggest. You can read both tiers on this page.
Which provider runs Seedance 2.0?
BytePlus, ByteDance's own platform, not Replicate. Every other model in our catalogue is dispatched to Replicate. That is why this model's prices follow token rates rather than a per-second rate, and why its 4K tier is priced the way it is.
How long can a Seedance 2.0 clip be?
Up to 15 seconds, priced at 5s, 10s and 15s.
Seedance 2.0 or Seedance 1.5?
Seedance 1.5 Pro is the previous generation: a shorter ceiling at 12 seconds, a single priced resolution, no 4K, and far fewer credits per render. Seedance 2.0 is the one to use when you need 4K or multi-image reference control. For volume variants of the same script, 1.5 costs less.
Can I use Seedance 2.0 on the free trial?
Seedance 2.0 is not available during the free 3-day trial. It runs on any paid plan, and the trial covers the rest of the catalogue in the meantime. The models a trial can run are Grok Video, Happy Horse 1.1, Kling 2.6, Pruna Avatar, Seedance 1.5 and Veo 3.1 Fast.
