Sora 2 Pro: what it does, what it costs
The larger Sora tier, priced across a standard mode and a high mode, and the most expensive renders in our catalogue at 1080p.
Sora 2 Pro is one of the models you can run inside UGC Vids AI. It is made by OpenAI, renders clips up to 12 seconds, and we price it at 720p and 1080p. A render costs 245 to 1,225 credits depending on the length and resolution you pick, all from the same credit balance as every other model in the catalogue. Everything on this page is generated from the pricing table the app charges against.
OpenAI has announced 24 September 2026 as the end date for this model on the provider we run it through. Until then it works normally. On that date our catalogue stops returning it, so it drops out of this page set and no new render can be started against a dead endpoint. If you are choosing a model to standardise a workflow on, pick one without an announced end date.

What Sora 2 Pro is
Sora 2 Pro is the larger tier of OpenAI's Sora 2, reached through the same Replicate bridge, and like Sora 2 it needs no reference image. It exposes two quality modes rather than a pixel resolution, and we map them onto 720p and 1080p so they sit alongside the rest of the catalogue. OpenAI has announced an end date for this bridge, shown on this page.
Where Sora 2 Pro fits, and where it does not
Good for
- A hero cut where the render budget is not the constraint
- Prompt-only generation, since no reference image is required
- Comparing the high mode against the standard mode on the same prompt
Limits
- The most expensive 1080p renders in our catalogue, at 1,225 credits for the longest one
- OpenAI has published a retirement date, so this is not a model to standardise on
- What we label 1080p is the model's high mode, which renders at 1024p; we group it as 1080p for consistency with the rest of the catalogue
Choose Sora 2 Pro only when a single flagship cut justifies the credit cost, and run the standard tier for everything else.
How Sora 2 Pro compares
Each comparison puts both credit tables on one page, so you can see which model is cheaper for the exact render you have in mind rather than in the abstract.

How to use Sora 2 Pro here
- Start an account. The first 3 days are free. Sora 2 Pro itself runs on any paid plan rather than on the trial. One credit balance covers every model you can run, so signing up does not tie you to one.
- Open the create page and pick Sora 2 Pro from the model list.
- Write the prompt or script. This model does not need a reference image, so a written prompt on its own is a complete input. You can still add an image when you want a specific face or product in frame.
- Choose the clip length and the resolution. The credit cost is shown before you generate, so nothing is charged that you have not seen first.
- Generate, then download the mp4. Renders land in your library and stay there.
Sora 2 Pro generates its audio in the same pass as the picture, so there is no separate voice step to run or pay for.
Sora 2 Pro on the free 3-day trial
Sora 2 Pro is not available during the free 3-day trial. It runs on any paid plan, and the trial covers the rest of the catalogue in the meantime.
What a trial can run: Grok Video, Happy Horse 1.1, Kling 2.6, Pruna Avatar, Seedance 1.5 and Veo 3.1 Fast. Their pages carry the same spec and credit tables, so you can test the workflow end to end for free and switch to Sora 2 Pro on a paid plan without changing anything else. See the full model index.
