Brands that sell directly to end customers via their own website rather than through retailers. Most UGC paid social spend in 2026 comes from DTC brands because UGC creative outperforms polished brand ads on TikTok and Meta, where DTC brands acquire most new customers.
DTC differs from B2C-via-retail in that the brand owns the customer relationship, the data, and the margin (no wholesale discount to a retailer).
